Knock the Vote
I recently watched a video clip featuring a group of elderly citizens discussing the importance of voting. They try to get the point across that young people should go out and vote, even though the message they portray is for them not to vote. They keep saying don't vote, it's ok because if the young people don't vote, they older generation will continue to be the only ones voting. They stress that they vote because they care and it's important to their generation, but does not seem as important to the younger generation. So what they were really saying was, that it's important for the younger generation to vote because the current day issues are different and that if we want to stand up for our issues and opinions we should all vote. After watching this video, I was not really sure how to feel about it, but I do understand the point they were trying to get across.
