I think that Nike was truly trying to support a worthy cause, and even if they were trying to turn over a profit, it still doesn't take away from the company using its power to raise awareness of racism in America. Nike knew that their advertisement could potentially offend a large group of people, but they also knew that standing in solidarity with Kaepernick would result in larger, positive repercussions with regards to racism awareness. It is so important that we take a stand for what we believe in and make a difference in our society.
